This is not medical advice

AURAWELLNESS.fit is a wellness and self-tracking tool — including anything generated by the AI Coach or meal plans. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or prescriptions and is not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before making health, nutrition, or exercise decisions, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read here. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or local emergency services immediately.

What the calculators actually do

Every calculator on this site applies a published population-level formula to the numbers you type in. That is all it does. It does not know your medical history, your medications, your training history, your body composition, or anything a clinician would establish before giving you a target.

These equations were built to describe averages across large groups, and an individual can sit a long way from the average without anything being wrong. Predictive energy-expenditure equations are typically accurate to within roughly ten per cent for most people, and tape-measure body-fat methods to within a few percentage points — which is useful for tracking your own trend over time, and much less useful as a single verdict on your health.

Treat any number this site gives you as a starting estimate to be adjusted against what actually happens over the following weeks, not as a measurement.

When to speak to a professional first

Talk to a doctor or an appropriately qualified professional before acting on anything here if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, managing a chronic condition such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, or a thyroid disorder, taking medication that affects appetite, fluid balance, heart rate, or blood sugar, recovering from injury or surgery, or living with a current or past eating disorder.

The same applies if you are starting to exercise after a long break, if you experience chest pain, dizziness, or breathlessness during activity, or if you are considering a substantial change to how much you eat.

Eating disorders

Calorie targets, body-fat percentages, and weight charts can be actively harmful for someone with a history of disordered eating. If tracking these numbers is something you find difficult, please do not use these tools, and consider speaking to a professional or an eating disorder support service in your country.

AI-generated content

The AI Coach and AI meal plan features in our app generate automated suggestions. They can be wrong, incomplete, or inappropriate for your circumstances, and they are not reviewed by a human before you see them. Apply the same scepticism you would to any automated output, and never use them for a clinical decision.

In an emergency

If you believe you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or go to an emergency department immediately. Do not use this site, and do not wait for a reply to an email.
